Historic Charm and Wonderful Service
clean room cotton bed linen helpful staff excellent breakfast
The room I had, Scoresby Small Double, was very clean and the bed offered white cotton bed linen. The staff proved helpful throughout my stay and accommodated my dogs (I had three!). All staff showed them affection, which I found touching. Breakfast offered superb options.
The stairs in the building made access slightly difficult, which could pose a challenge with mobility issues. (Still, its historic nature is part of its charm!).
Service
9/10
Staff members provided attentive and friendly service throughout the premises, including restaurant and reception areas. The team handled requests efficiently. Overall service levels were very satisfactory.
Dining
8/10
The restaurant presented a seafood menu at reasonable prices, and the pub offered an authentic atmosphere. I had a very good grilled chicken, the breakfast included warm kippers among other options. The food facilities were excellent.

loose carpet stained sofa
The room was located at the top of the building and reached via steep stairs, a real issue because i have mobility problems. the carpet on the stairs was loose. A potential trip hazard, i thought. the sofa was stained and dirty. thin towels were supplied in the small bathroom.
